From an early age, he learned the importance of community, hard work, and compassion from his parents, who were dedicated educators. Mark’s journey led him to Harvard University, where he studied Political Science and honed his passion for public service.

Mark’s career in public service began as a community organizer, advocating for issues that matter most to Atlanta residents. His commitment to equity and justice propelled him to the Atlanta City Council, where he fought tirelessly for affordable housing, education reform, and access to healthcare.
